Why I do what I do

I truly believe that pregnancy and parenthood are absolutely amazing—but sometimes really overwhelming!

I also believe that pregnancy, the initial postnatal period, and early parenthood should feel supported and that nobody should ever have to do it alone, so I started ‘With Charlotte’ to be able to provide a continuity of care. Right from the moment you find out you’re pregnant or welcoming a new baby I want to be able to be there for you, and I want to continue to be there for you once you have that baby in your arms for as long as you need.

No two people will experience this in the exact same way; some of you will be incredibly excited, some absolutely terrified, and others with 100 questions, so it is really important to me to be able to offer personalised support so that everyone has an opportunity to get the right care for them, to enable them to be the best version of themselves. Every single person deserves to have knowledge to empower themselves, to be able to take control of their care and to feel as if they have someone on their side supporting them through it all.

And I also do this because I am obsessed with pregnancy, birth and being a parent and I’m IN LOVE with being there for others through the good, the bad and anything in between. Let me know what you need, and I’m all yours.

With love,

Charlotte x

Why choose me?

I am a former midwife - I’ve got incredibly valuable knowledge and insight from gaining my degree and my previous role as a midwife.

I have supported parents on the neonatal unit through volunteering for the charity Bliss - I am fully aware that not everyone is able to be at home with their baby as soon as they have been born, and I have experience of supporting families spending their days at the NICU.

I am a Fedant accredited Parent and Birth coach, antenatal and postnatal teacher.

I am a trained postnatal Doula (also Fedant accredited)

I am constantly building up contacts across the birth world and reviewing my own knowledge to ensure that you have access to the very best information and access to expert professionals in their fields.

Through experience as a mother of 3. I have been through fertility struggles, pregnancies, birth and postnatal periods so can resonate with you, without any judgement or bias coming through. We are all different so I have a level of empathy and understanding that your circumstance is individual and want to support you in making decisions that matter to you.

How can I help?
